"Science Czar" John Holdren
Name: John Holdren
Official Title: Assistant to the President for Science and Technology
Better Known As: The “Science Czar”
John Holdren is a graduate of Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has written over 200 papers and has co-edited or co-authored over 20 books. While there is no doubt that Mr. Holdren is an exceptionally intellectual individual, he doesn’t have much common sense (or a heart, for that matter). Although he is an avid anti-nuclear activist, he seems to be pretty silent on Iran’s recent proliferation attempts.
In the past, John Holdren advocated compulsory abortions, government seizures of children and forced sterilization through drinking water as means of population control. While he has personally denied these sentiments, they are clearly expressed in a book, “Ecoscience,” that he co-authored in 1977. In that same publication, Holdren suggested that America sacrifice its sovereignty to an international organization or global police force.
Given his recent promotion, we can only hope that Mr. Holdren has since amended these views and realized that people are people, not faceless, mindless, academic statistics to be experimented with.
